Dash can only read codes that are standardized in the OBD-II specification. However, that standard was finalized about twenty years ago, and automotive technology has come a long way in the meantime. Since this is the case, auto manufacturers have added their own protocols, some of which aren't public.
In general, this means that all the codes related to the "Check engine" light should be supported, but we may not be able to read codes related to other lights for things like ABS, traction control systems, or maintenance notifications.
We plan to add additional capabilities to Dash, including support for new codes and communication protocols, so in the future, you can drive even smarter!
