Sending Feedback

If you run into any trouble while using Dash, we want to hear about it.

The best way to let us know is to use the ‘Send Feedback’ feature in your Dash settings. To use it just navigate to settings and scroll to the bottom of the page. Then, tap "Send Feedback."

This will open a new email message in your email app that includes a set of logs from your phone. Please briefly describe your issue and click send -- we'll get back to you as soon as we can.

    Just feedback. I removed the Dash app today. I liked it , but the inability to remove a trip was annoying to me. It also seemed to split up trips at times so it wasn't really helpful from the trip/score standpoint. Outside of the trip function, I would have kept it.

    Thanks for the feedback, David! We've definitely had this request before, but after wrestling with the question of whether to allow deleting trips, we ultimately concluded that if we allowed it, people could distort their driving history.

    Imagine someone living in a city with alternate-side parking every week, and decided to delete all those trips? That would introduce a significant systemic error into the system, compromising the statistics that the app provides.

    It might be too late, but we'd love to hear some details about this trip splitting that you disagreed with. If you're interested in discussing this more, please submit a ticket!

    Dash v3.1.1, iPhone 6, iOS 10.3.2

    Issue #1: Settings -> Send Feedback results in error.

    You don't have an available email account set, please retry after setting.

    Issue #2: There seems to be no way to edit a user profile via the iOS app. I was able to set my name and location from an old Android tablet I had around, but no way to set email address to resolve Issue #1.

    My email address is my login to the app, so I'm confused about why there would be no email address associated with my account.

    Hi Christopher -

    That's an unusual issue. I think the source of confusion is that Dash is just handing off a message to be sent by your email client.

    I _think_ the issue is that you are using a 3rd party email client (cool) but Apple doesn't allow you to set 3rd party email apps as the default...so when we try to send a message it won't work. I believe you'll need to set up an email in iOS Mail (at least temporarily.)

    If that isn't the case, please open a ticket so we can get to the bottom of this!

    That's precisely the issue. Send Feedback works correctly when the native iOS Mail app is configured correctly. Thanks.
